The country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, with a partial influence of westerly winds. The monsoon low-pressure line is currently located south of its normal position. In addition, the low-pressure area developed over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining areas is currently located over the central-east Bay of Bengal. The system is expected to strengthen further and move towards the west-northwest in the coming days.
